Korean Air is extending its pre-order inflight meal service to First Class passengers on international flights departing from Korea, starting October 10.
Previously launched for Prestige Class travelers on select international routes in January 2023, the pre-order service enables passengers to choose their meals in advance. Now, First Class passengers can also enjoy this convenience, with the ability to pre-select their meals via the airline’s website or mobile app from 60 days up to 24 hours before departure.
The enhanced First-Class pre-order menu features a wide range of options, including appetizers, main courses and soups. Passengers can choose their main course from Korean, Western, or vegetarian dishes, and then select complementary appetizers and soups to enjoy.
Additionally, to elevate the dining experience, Korean Air will offer four to six exclusive menu items available only through the pre-order service. Responding to the growing demand for plant-based options and sustainability, two vegan dishes will also be included in the exclusive menu.
The service will initially be available on eight key international routes departing from Korea: Los Angeles, New York, Atlanta, San Francisco, Washington D.C., Paris, London, and Frankfurt. The airline plans to expand the service to include flights departing from overseas destinations in the future.
“We are delighted to expand this new pre-order meal service for our First Class passengers, offering them a broader selection and more control over their inflight dining experience. This initiative not only elevates customer satisfaction but also improves the efficiency of our meal preparation process,” said a Korean Air representative.
